ABOUT ME

I’m a historian of modern Europe specializing in Jewish life, the Holocaust, and questions of identity, displacement, and survival. My work explores how individuals and communities respond to crisis, construct identity, and make meaning in the aftermath of violence. Through research, writing, and teaching, I examine how history is experienced, remembered, and narrated.

Currently the Rose Mibab and Carl Goldberg Fellow in Holocaust Studies at the Zucker/Goldberg Center for Holocaust Studies at the College of Charleston.
